Andrey holds BSc (Honours) in Economic Geography from Moscow State University and Diploma in Economics from University of Cambridge.
Later he also received MSc (Honours) in Management from London School of economics and political science and became Doctor of Business Administration (Cranfield University).
Since 2004 Andrey has been working for Severstal Group, as Head of Strategic Planning and Market Foresight. In 2008 Andrey was appointed Head of Corporate Strategy at Severstal and he also became responsible for business development in the new regional markets.
During Russia’s presidency in G20 in 2013 Andrey worked as a Sherpa of Alexey Mordashov within the B20 Trade Taskforce.
He is currently responsible for Severstal corporate strategy, global market analysis and strategic resource allocation. In his new role at Severstal Andrey reports directly to CEO.
Sergey Alekseev has been operating in marketing and business development for 12 years. Sergey graduated from the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics and received his Master Degree from the Graduate School of Business.
Mr. Alekseev gained an extensive experience in marketing and consultancy during his career in a range of companies.
In 2002 he joined TMK. During 2002-2010 he held various positions in TMK.
Since December 2011 Mr. Alekseev has been Marketing Director.
Mikhail Leskov is metallurgist with more that 35 years’ experience in management, engineering and consultancy for the wide range of project for mining and extracting of different mineral commodities. Graduated as mineral processing engineer in Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys, with specialty on an Engineering and Design for Mineral Processing/Beneficiation Plants.
Since that, about 10 years he has been working on large number of different projects located in various ex-USSR republics, Vietnam, Mali, Mongolia and Cuba for wide range of mineral commodities – from diamonds and gold to tin and rock salt.
After that together with his colleagues founded and then has been for 20 years uninterruptedly chairing NBLgold JSC (later known as NBL International (UK) Ltd), which long time been one of the largest engineering consulting groups at post-Soviet territory and worked for very large number of projects for many different commodities in Russia and in other various countries of ex-USSR, Asia and Africa.
After that worked on top positions inside such a structures as Atomredmetzoloto, Russian Platinum, Severstal, Gazprombank and Renova.

Mr Andryushin is responsible for increasing RUSAL’s sales on the domestic market by creating new joint enterprises and implementing projects to stimulate local demand.
For the last seven years Roman Andryushin worked as operations and finance director of RUSAL Marketing GmbH – the Swiss affiliate company responsible for RUSAL’s global sales. In this position he formed an effective commercial structure for the company, developed relations with key clients, optimised logistics and supply chains, improved sales of value-added products, and took direct control over RUSAL’s export management.
Between 2003 and 2007 Mr Andryushin was financial director of CJSC Komi Aluminium (at the time a joint enterprise of RUSAL and SUAL), financial director of RUSAL’s milling division, and financial director of Alcoa in Russia. From 1996 to 2002 he held managerial positions at the Belokalitvinsky metallurgical production plant.
Roman Andryushin graduated with honours from the economics and management department of Novocherkassk State Technical University, Lorange Institute of Business in Switzerland (ЕМВА) and the University of Wales (МВА). He has a PhD in economics.

Presently Mr. Erenburg serves as Business Development Director for EVRAZ Nizhny Tagil Metallurgical Plant. His responsibilities include management of operational activities, investment and development projects as well as coordination with other EVRAZ facilities.
Born on August 28, 1955г in Tashkent. In 1977 he graduated from Tashkent State University, the faculty of Geology with a specialization in geological survey and mineral exploration.
From 1977 till 1994 he worked for Kysylkum geological prospecting expedition (Muruntau). Main areas of activities are geological survey, mineral exploration and prognosis evaluation of gold, silver, copper and other deposits.
In 1995-2006 he worked for Zarafshan-Newmont JV. In 2006 Mr. Makarov worked for NBLgold consulting company (Moscow, Russia). From 2007 till now he has been working for Arlan Investment Company. Mining sector of Arlan IC is dealing with gold deposits (Magadan region, Russia) and uranium (the Republic of Namibia).

Rebecca joined CRU Strategies in 1995 and has worked on and managed many single client consultancy projects across a broad range of metals and subjects. From 2004 until 2007, Rebecca was Practice Area Leader for the Performance Improvement Practice and in particular developed this business in South America. Between 2007 and 2010, Rebecca spent time as Head of Business Development within CRU focusing on internal improvement projects including introducing an internal investment approvals process. In 2010, Rebecca returned to CRU Strategies and has taken charge of the group’s Strategy Practice.
Rebecca has managed a wide variety of projects include corporate planning reviews, management training workshops and projects on implementation of maintenance outsourcing and value based management key performance indicators. Rebecca is an expert on the labour related aspects of performance improvement. The project teams for these projects have included many external consultancies and subcontractors requiring a high degree of project management expertise. Rebecca has also provided strategic consultancy to clients, including acquisition and disposal recommendations on assets in India, China and Australia and metal purchasing advice for an automotive supplier.
Rebecca holds both an MA and an MEng in production engineering from Cambridge University and an MBA from IMD, Switzerland. She is fluent in French and has conversational German and Spanish.

Randolph Lewis graduated from Washington and Lee University in 1995 with a degree in Russian Studies. Since that time he has grown and developed enterprises in Russia and the CIS, working in manufacturing, logistics and construction. He is fluent in Russian and specializes in business development, project management and government/external relations.

Over the past 35 years Dr Cowley has built a successful career in business, both in the public and private sectors. He has been CEO of major corporations in Africa, Russia, UK and the Middle East, including senior executive positions in Anglo American Corporation, De Beers, British Energy, British Rail, Murray and Roberts, the Press Corporation, Basic Element, Kinross (Russia), Maple Minerals Corporation and White Tiger Gold. He has advised several governments on economic growth and expansion (Oman, Malawi, South Africa and Romania), was involved in the privatisation of British Rail and British Energy and was one of two UK representatives on the Business Council for Europe Africa and the Mediterranean, (BCEAM, Group 7 initiative). Working with the Adam Smith Institute, he advised on the economic and industrial rebuilding of several countries in Eastern Europe, following which for several years was Senior Advisor on Africa (Political and Economic), to the World Economic Forum attending the annual meeting of government and business leaders at Davos.
In January 2013 he was appointed as NXD to the Board of Lydian International (TSX: LYD) and also NXD to the board of Blackmont Gold Group. In addition to which he is currently Non Executive Chairman of Energy Mining Advisory Partnership which provides Risk Management and Corporate Advisory Services exclusively to the Mining, Metallurgical and Minerals industry and is a frequent speaker at major international conferences.
Dr Cowley has a Master’s Degree and Doctorate in Engineering; is a chartered engineer and holds fellowships of several major professional institutions in the UK.
Mr Radostovts is an honours graduate of Alma-Ata Institute of Economics (1976), and completed his doctorate at the USSR Academy of Sciences in Moscow in 1990. He has studied and worked in Austria, Hungary, Poland, Turkey, the United States and England.

Mr Radostovts has written several books on labour collectives and antimonopoly policies, and articles on the development of entrepreneurship, Kazakhstan’s accession to the WTO and development of export.
Between 1976 and 1991 he worked at the Institute of Economics at the Academy of Sciences of the Soviet Republic of Kazakhstan, first as an economist, and becoming Head of antimonopoly policy and development of competition.
In 1991 Mr Radostovts became Deputy Chairman of the Kazakh Government’s committee for support of new economic structures and limitation of monopolies. In 1993 he became Deputy Chairman of the committee for antimonopoly policy, and in 1997 – Deputy Minister for Economy and Trade of Kazakhstan.
In 1998 Mr Radostovts was named Chairman of the committee for regulation of natural monopolies, and in 1999 – Chairman of the Agency for regulation of natural monopolies and protection of competition. In 1999 and 2000 he was Minister for employment and social protection of Kazakhstan, in 2001 he became Chairman of the Eurasian Industrial Association, and in 2003 was named General Director of the Association of Kazakh Exporters.
Since 2004 Mr Radostovts has been President of the Union of Goods Producers and Exporters of Kazakhstan, and Executive Director of the Republican Association of Mining and Metallurgy Enterprises.
He is a member of the board of the National Chamber of Economy of Kazakhstan and a member of the Union of Kazakh Entrepreneurs.
Sergey Rezontov has joined Lysva Metallurgical Company as a CFO in April 2013. Before he hold a position of the Head of Corporate Finance Department in Mechel Group since August 2006 and Relationship manager in Metals and Mining Industries Group, Corporate Clients Department, Commerzbank (Eurasija) SAO since January 2004. He graduated from the Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics with a first-class honors degree and holds a Specialist Diploma in Management of investments and innovations.
Alexei has graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) in 1977 with diploma cum laude, specializing on international economy of commodities.
He has been working from 1977 to 1983 in V/O "Sojuzpromexport", the USSR state monopoly for foreign trade in minerals and ferrous metals, dealing with foreign trade of iron, manganese and chrome ores. In 1983-1986 he was representing V/O "Sojuzpromexport" and V/O "Raznoimport" in Italy.
Upon his return to Moscow he worked for the Department of International Economic Organizations of the USSR/Russia Ministry for Foreign Trade/Foreign Economic Relations.
In 1990 he joined the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) working in its Commodities Division (currently Special Unit on Commodities) and dealing with minerals and metals. Alexei is also the Project Manager of the UNCTAD Trust Fund on Iron Ore Information.
His mother tongue is Russian, he also speaks English, French, Italian and Polish.
Rodrik first visited Moscow in June 1991 and after university his employer was a Canadian junior miner in the CIS in 1996-97.
He has worked and lived in the Russia for over a decade principally focused on the resource sector in senior management roles for Western companies.
Based in London since 2008, he represents CRU in Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia as their Regional Director. CRU regularly consults for miners and investors in the region and separately Rodrik is an advisory board member for Silk Roads Mining & Development, a Canadian junior miner with projects in Central Asia.
He has degrees in engineering, Russian, and management from the University of Waterloo (Canada) and has taken courses at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute and the London Business School.
Mr. Izbaskhanov was born on October, 26 1952 in a large family in the Kyzyl-ui village of Tolebi district of South Kazakhstan Oblast, Kazakhstan.
After school graduation in Langer town, during 1970-1975 he was studying in the Kazakhstan Polytechnic University named after V.I. Lenin as metallurgical engineer. After graduation from university he worked as a burner in the Ust-Kamenogorsk lead-zinc plant.
In 1976 he began work in the Shymkent lead plant and where he was promoted from smelter to head of smelter workshop.
In July 1985 by order of Ministry of Nonferrous Metal Industry of the USSR he was appointed to Head of Shymkent Lead Plant position.
After Kazakhstan had got its independency Mr.Izbaskhanov in 1993-1996 was appointed to the position of Chairman of State Committee on Government Property of Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 1993-1996 he was a Head of the first government holding “AKSUNKAR”, which brought together a number of mining and metallurgical complexes in Kazakhstan.
In 1996-2002 he held senior positions of Deputy Mayor of South Kazakhstan region, Mayor of Shymkent.
In 2002-2006 he worked as the Executive Director of JSC "National Company" Kazakhstan Temir Zholy".
In the period within 2006 to 2008 Mr. Izbaskhanov worked as First Vice-President of JSC “National Company “Kazakhstan Engineering”, which brought together machine builders, which were part of military-industry complex of USSR earlier.
Since January 2009 he was appointed Director of the Directorate for management of industrial assets of JSC "National Welfare Fund" Samruk-Kazyna".
Since May, 2009 he has been working as the Managing Director, Member of the Board of JSC "National Mining Company" Tau-Ken Samruk ".
Mr. Izbaskhanov K.S. has a number of development and research papers devoted to improvement of the technology and equipment in non-ferrous metallurgy.
For the merits in the civil service, for the contribution to the development of Kazakhstan industry he was awarded orders "Kurmet", "Parasat", five medals of the Republic of Kazakhstan of different values, he has titles "Honorary metallurgist" and "Honorary machine- maker"
Yulia Chekunaeva joined Goldman Sachs Investment Research in April 2010 and covers CEEMEA metals and mining companies. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, she worked at Sberbank. Yulia has a BSc in banking and finance from the international programme run by the London School of Economics and the Higher School of Economics (Russia), and an MSc Economics and Finance from Warwick Business School (University of Warwick).
Until 1999 Gennady Skopov performed academic research work in commercial structures.
In 1986 he was presented with an award by the Council of Ministers of the USSR, in recognition of his development and implementation of a series of technological processes for the extraction of copper and precious metals from semi-finished metallurgical products.
In 1992 Mr Skopov became a Doctor of Technical Sciences. He is the author of more than 100 academic works and patents.
Since 1999 Mr Skopov has worked at the Urals Mining and Metallurgy Company as Strategic Planning Director and Deputy Technical Director for metallurgy.
Mr Skopov is a Professor at the Urals B.N. Yeltsin Federal University, a full member of the Academy of Engineering Sciences of the Russian Federation, and an honoured metallurgist of the Russian Federation.
Born in 1980 in Moscow. In 2002 graduated from State University of Management with honors with a degree in management, specialization — World Market of Metals. In 2005 obtained a Ph.D. degree in management of metallurgical companies. In 2001-2006 worked as an analyst in OAO Chermetinfromatsiya and in Infomine Research Group. In 2006-2010 was head of marketing department of Industrial Metallurgical Holding. Since June 2010 — investor relations director.
Dr.Youngil OH is a Senior Principal Researcher of POSCO Research Institute and is in charge of Russia and CIS business strategy for POSCO Group.
Before joining POSCO Research Institute, Dr.Youngil OH worked for Korea Investment and Securities as a Director of Overseas Investment Strategy Department. He organized several Project Financing Deals,
and closed several M&A deals.
He graduated from Korea University and earned his Ph.D degree(Economics) from State University of Management(Russia, Moscow) in 2002.
Kazuo Fujisawa joined NKK Corporation in 1982 and has held management positions in sales, engineering and in an assistant role to CEOs.
After NKK merged with Kawasaki Steel to create JFE Steel in 2003, he has held positions in the Corporate Planning Department. His responsibilities include strategic planning and overseas business development.
After receiving his master's degree in Management of Business Administration in 2002 from La Salle University - Philadelphia,he worked as a Business Analyst for a multinational pipe and glass manufacturer; Saint Gobain – Philadelphia. In 2003, he started to work in the stock market at SEI Investments ( Fortune 500 company in US ) as a Mutual Fund
By 2005 right after he returned back to Turkey, Mr Bolaca has started to work for Tezcan Galvanized steel mill and he was responsible for the whole sales towards Europe, CIS and Northern America regions.
In 2007, He joined to Promeks Steel trading. Mr. Bolaca has established coated steel department in the company and afterwards he managed flat steel division at Promeks Steel Inc.
In 2010, Mr. Bolaca has joined to LN Metals International to manage the steel division. LN Metals is an international trading company with an annual turnover of 850 million USD. Company supplies both ferrous and non ferrous metals through offices in England, China and in Brazil and also holds steel stocks mainly in EU and in South America.
Besides participating to international steel conferences as a speaker, Mr Bolaca writes articles for international steel publications.
Ersun Ozdemirel is the export manager at Borcelik, which is a joint venture of Borusan Holding of Turkey and ArcelorMittal.
After he acquired his degree in Business Administration in 1997 from Middle East Technical University (METU), he started to work in finance sector for 3 years in corporate marketing division.
Afterwards, he completed his masters degree at Duquesne University in Pittsburg, USA.
Then, he joined Borcelik, which is a re-roller specialized in cold rolled and coated flat steel and giving service to automotive, consumer (white) goods, radiator and construction sectors. At first, he worked in purchasing division and was responsible for Hot Rolled Coils (HRC) and Zinc (Zn) purchasing and supply agreements.
Afterwards, he became member of sales group and now acting as export manager. Under his leadership, Borcelik is one of the biggest exporters of Cold Rolled (CR) and Hot-dip Galvanized (HDG) flat steel, mainly to European Union, Middle East and CIS countries.
Dr Ankur Singh is the Marketing Manager for DANA Group's Steel Trading & Coil Service Centre division since July 2005, and is also responsible for procurement & operations for the company. He is also Instrumental in starting the Value-added steel Manufacturing division in the Group,and is also actively involved in strategic planning.
Prior to his experience in the steel business, he completed his bachelors' degree in medicine and surgery from India, and also practiced medicine for one year.Later on he also did his Executive MBA from Dubai.In 2005 he moved to Dubai with DANA Group, and joined as a procurement executive for their manufacturing division, and his passion for steel has gradually led him to head the steel division.Since then there has been no looking back.

He has been involved in the finance industry since 1992 by working in different banks, financial companies and audit firms. Mr. Orlenko held different positions within the Sberbank’s precious metal division for 8 years. In 2011-2012 served as the Deputy Director of the Retail Brokerage Service at Sberbank.He joined Moscow Exchange in early 2013 as the Director of the Commodities Market. He is also the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of National Mercantile Exchange and the member of supervisory boards of some other companies. He is married, has two sons.
Mr Makarov is also the Chairman of IRC’s operations committee. He began his career as an engineer at the company NT Сomputers. In 2002 he joined Aricom as operations director, before moving to Petropavlovsk to become Head of Production. In 2010 Mr Makarov was named General Director of IRC.
Mr Makarov was previously commercial director at NT Сomputers in Moscow, where he managed the company’s sales and service divisions. He is a certified specialist in development of airborne electrical equipment, and holds an engineering degree from the Russian K.I. Tsiolkovsky State Technical University.
Mr Parry, BSc (Hons), MAusIMM, has worked internationally in a business development capacity across a broad range of commodities with Tigers Realm Coal (TIG), Tigers Realm Minerals, G-Resources Group Limited, Oxiana Limited (now OZ Minerals Limited), Rio Tinto Limited and RSG Consulting Pty Ltd over the past 14 years.
He is a founder of TIG and has been responsible for TIG’s business development activities since inception, including the acquisition of the Amaam Project.
Mr Parry has held a number of executive roles in the resources industry, including Business Development Manager for G-Resources Group Limited responsible for mergers and acquisitions and Principal Geologist – New Business at Oxiana Limited responsible for strategy and business development initiatives in bulk and energy commodities. At Rio Tinto Limited, Mr Parry led exploration programs for iron ore, copper, diamonds, coal and bauxite in Australia, Asia and South America and was Principal Geologist for the Kintyre Uranium project pre-feasibility study. Mr Parry is a graduate of The University of New South Wales, holds a Bachelor of Science (Applied Geology) with first class Honours and the University Medal. He is a Member of the AusIMM.
In May 2011 he was invited to take the office of the Coal Production Director at DTEK.
In 1998-2004, he occupied managerial positions at Vorgashorskaya Mine (Russia). From 2004 to 2007, he held the position of the General Director at Southern Coal-Mining Company (Russia) which was producing and processing anthracite in Rostov Region (Russian Federation). In 2007-08, Mr Smirnov was in charge of Novo Group (Russia), where he led a project on setting up a power and coal company, dealing with recovery and construction of mines and thermal power plants in Rostov and Tula Regions of Russia. In 2007-08, he was also the Advisor of Tula Region Governor for Fuel and Energy Sector. From 2008 to 2011, Mr Smirnov was the CEO of En+ Coal Company, a large player in the world coal market having coal reserves of several billion tonnes and integrated with RUSAL, EuroSibEnergo and other assets in mining, processing, non-ferrous metals and energy sectors into En+ Group.
In 1989, Andrey Smirnov graduated with honours from Donetsk Polytechnic Institute majoring in Mine Surveying. In 1998, he obtained a degree in Finance from Syktyvkar State University. Andrey Smirnov holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and is a full-fledged member of the Academy of Mining Science of the Russian Federation.
